Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics

Department Overview

The Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics deals with the restoration of the form and function of teeth. 

The department trains students from I, II, III, Final year-I and Final year-II BDS, interns and Postgraduates, as well as Dental Operating Room Assistant students.

Teaching in Undergraduate curriculum includes Lectures and participatory instructional modalities. Teaching during internship is aimed at orienting them toward further competitive exams and challenges. The Postgraduate curriculum is aimed at the evolution of the students into the most skillful, competent and proficient versions of themselves.

KUHS approved Research facility with state-of-the-art equipment.

PRECLINICAL TRAINING:

The students are thoroughly trained using various preclinical training methodologies before they are introduced to the clinics. This training extends over the 1st two years of UG and 1st six months of PG course.

CLINICAL :

Teeth affected by dental caries, trauma or developmental defects are brought back to normal with Conservative and Endodontic treatment. The treatments provided include all basic restorative treatments and Root canal treatment.

  • Aesthetic clinic for procedures to enhance the Aesthetic value of a face.
  • Microsurgery room, replete with a Dental Operating Microscope.
  • Steady patient flow ensuring student exposure to diverse cases.
