This educational institution was started in 2007 under the University of Calicut. In 2010, it was truly blessed to come under the aegis of Kerala University of Health Science, Thrissur. The beautiful campus situated near to the banks of Bharathapuzha adds to the beauty of the campus, which spreads over 25 acres of land. Its lush green and pollution-free campus is well designed and graciously equipped with all modern facilities. MDC offers academic programs from undergraduate to postgraduate program in seven specialties. Collectively, our students and residents also benefit from the skills and experience of our highly devoted faculty, and a rich collaborative environment.

Malabar Dental College is one of those colleges where you get to enjoy the natural greenery in serenity. The best thing about this college is, everything is available in its full capacity in one single square building, which makes it easier to walk through the department. The central courtyard is the main attraction with a mini- stage and grass lawn, where most of the program are held in open sunlight.
The college provides 2 playground where the football team and other players meet. Its vast and very close to the boys hostel which is very convenient for them. One of the main attractions of the college is the water filled quarry which is a sight to behold and calming to the eyes and soul. The college is definitely a second home to the students because the campus has always made a homely feel.
The alumni association of Malabar dental college was started in the year 2015 with an inauguration ceremony held in malabar dental college. The members decided to name the alumni association as “Darpan”. Since then, the alumni association is very active in the institution and conducts yearly get together and meetings.
The malabar dental college alumni which was formed with the intention of maintaining the bond always proved their love and commitment to the institution and we are sure this will only increase as more students become alumni because of the commitment of the institute to provide quality to all its students from day one.
As a second-year BDS student at Malabar Dental College in Kerala, my experience has been exceptional. The college offers excellent infrastructure, supportive faculties, and well-maintained labs. Though patient opportunities had some limitations, the college took steps to improve by organizing dental camps and health programs. Hostel facilities are commendable, and extracurricular activities are actively supported. I look forward to creating more cherished memories at this esteemed institution.

The college hospital which is affordable for the public gives the students relevant field exposure and internship opportunities which helps them to excel in academics.
